Bespoke Bedroom Build with Room to Grow
Sept 2025: Bespoke space designed to maximise storage
We were recently asked to help transform a blank canvas into something special — a young girl’s first very own bedroom. With no existing furniture and plenty of scope to be creative, the brief was clear: maximise storage without making the space feel cluttered.
The room needed to work hard — with storage for clothes, books, and personal treasures, plus a desk for drawing, homework, and quiet time. But just as important was the feeling of space. The client wanted to walk into the room and still feel light, open, and calm.
We used a white wood grain furniture board throughout, keeping the palette bright and neutral while adding subtle texture and warmth. Every piece was cut to size to make the most of the room’s dimensions — from the built-in wardrobe and drawer units to the low-profile desk and floating shelves. Bespoke diamond-effect handles added a touch of sparkle and personality, giving the furniture a playful but refined finish.
Throughout the build, we were able to tweak details here and there as we went along — adjusting shelf heights, refining placements, and making sure everything felt just right. That flexibility is one of the benefits of working bespoke: we’re not locked into flat-pack limitations, so we can respond to the space and the client’s needs in real time.
One of our favourite touches was the ladder-style shelving unit, built entirely from offcuts. It’s a small detail, but it speaks to our ethos: thoughtful, resourceful, and always looking to add value. The final result is a room that feels spacious, functional, and full of potential — a place to grow into, not just grow up in.
This project was a reminder that good design isn’t just about what you build — it’s about how it makes people feel. And in this case, the smile on move-in day said it all.
